This message begins by looking at God’s reaction to two events in David’s life and draws attention to the fact that we would probably assess things quite differently. We then see David as a fore-runner of Christ praying for mercy for his people and placing himself under God’s righteous judgement. It concludes by showing that God uses a situation of judgement to bless His people and move them on with Him.
2 Chronicles 21:7
7 Yet the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and since he had promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever.
