We consider the fact that the Lord of creation had to become obedient in order to fulfil God’s saving purpose. The first Adam suffered death because of disobedience, the Last Adam suffered death because of obedience.

8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
