After the usual quiz on the children’s talk from the morning service the younger group learnt how God cares for each of us, and that God can do miracles through the story of Elijah and the widow’s oil, followed by some craft. The juniors watched a section of The Prince of Egypt on DVD  after completing the story of Moses and the Exodus in previous weeks. The older Bible study group (lead by Phil ) were discussing the big bang theory, and what the Bible teaches about the beginning and end of the world as we know it !

We propose to hold the Coffee Morning on Mondays but this will depend on the number of helpers available.  ‘Malpas Road’ have been running a coffee morning outreach for about four years and it is proving beneficial and after a recent visit there by Val and Jayne some useful information was gleaned.  Men and women helpers from the church will be needed as at least one church member will be required to sit at each table.  (Surprisingly, more men than women seemed to be in attendance at the Malpas Road session.)  Drinks, cakes and biscuits will be offered free of charge to avoid the stricter rules enforced by the Food Hygiene and Health and Safety authorities if charges are made.

The intention is to use the end Sunday School room and, when the weather is fine, spill out into the courtyard.

If you are able to help please see Val or Jayne so that arrangements can be made for commencement of this venture, hopefully, in May of this year.  Those serving will need to have the Food Hygiene Certificate.
